Personal
Bill was born and raised in the Ohio Valley, and has been teaching music in the valley since 2006. Outside of music, Bill loves to spend time with family, friends, and his wonderful wife. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and camping. He also enjoys historic trains, reading, and studying various forms of math and science, including physics and astronomy.
Education
Bill is a graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, with a degree focusing on both Percussion and Music Composition, and has also continued his studies through The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, The University of Sidney, and the University of Melbourne.
Experience
Bill is currently the Drum & Percussion instructor at the Center of Music and Art in Wintersville, OH, the Drumline & Percussion instructor at Harrison Central High School in Cadiz, OH, and the Music Director at Weirton First Church of the Nazarene. Other experience includes Brooke High School Drumline, The School of Bright Promise, The Hilliard Community Music School, the MVNU Percussion Ensemble, Follansbee First Church of the Nazarene, and Newell Glendale Church of the Nazarene.
Bill is honored to have been the drumline instructor for the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference All-Star Band in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022, and is proud to be the director of the Fort Steuben Nutcracker Drumline.
